Overview of tourist flows and the volume of services provided to tourists in places of accommodation. I half of 2018
In the first half of the year, tourist flows both in and out of the country increased markedly.
Thus, the number of outbound tourists increased year-on-year by 7.1%, to 5 million people, entry tourists – by 21.8% at once, to 4.2 million people. In addition, domestic tourism is also developing: the number of tourists increased by 7%, to 2.4 million people.
Hotels, hotels, campgrounds and other places of accommodation served 2.3 million visitors in the first half of the year – 4.8% more than a year earlier.
It is noteworthy that, at the same time, the volume of their services declined year-on-year by 0.1%.
According to howmuch.net, in the past 2017, tourists left in Kazakhstan 1.78 million dollars: the country is in 78th place out of 143 in the rating for this indicator. For comparison, in the first place in the US ranking, revenues from international tourism reached $ 210.75 million, and in Russia, located on the 34th position – $ 8.95 million.
According to the results of the first half of the year, the number of hotels and hotels ready to receive guests reached 3.2 thousand in RK – 10.8% more than a year ago.
At the same time, the number of places in them increased only by 8.1% – up to 160 thousand.
