The volume of remittances received through SDP from individuals received from abroad from January to August of this year amounted to 220.5 billion tenge, which is 15.2% more than the same period last year.
Despite the increase in volume, growth rates have been declining for the second year in a row. A year earlier, the increase in the same period was 18.8%; even earlier, there was an increase of 2.4 times.
More than half of the amount of money received was sent using the Golden Crown system: 114.7 billion tenge, a 17.9% increase over the year. The share from Kazakhstan increased from 50.8% to 52%.
Next comes the Western Union system: 49.1 billion tenge, an increase over the year – by 25.5%. The share from Kazakhstan increased from 20.5% to 22.3%.
TOP-3 MoneyGram closes: 17.9 billion tenge, growth – 2.3 times. The share from Kazakhstan increased from 4% to 8.1%.
Among the countries from which transfers were made, Russia is leading: 111.8 billion tenge, which is 0.5% less than in January – August 2017. The share of the total volume decreased from 58.7% to 50.7%.
South Korea follows: 33.6 billion tenge, an increase of 2.3 times. The country’s share increased from 7.6% to 15.2%.
Kyrgyzstan closes the top three: 18.4 billion tenge, a 67.8% increase over the year. The share increased from 5.7% to 8.4%.
