In the first 8 months, gas production in the country reached 37.3 billion cubic meters – 5.8% more than a year earlier.
Three key gas producing regions accounted for more than 90%: Atyrau region – 15.6 billion cubic meters. m, + 14.6% year-on-year; East Kazakhstan region- 13.8 billion cubic meters m, as a year earlier; Aktobe region – 4.6 billion cubic meters. m, + 2.3% per year.
The export of blue fuel for 7 months amounted to 15 billion cubic meters – by 1.7% more than in the same period a year earlier.
It is noteworthy that in terms of money, exports reached $ 1.03 billion – immediately by 25.3% more than a year ago.
The largest volumes were sent to China (35.4% – 363.7 million dollars, immediately more than 8 times more than a year earlier) and Ukraine (28.6% – 293.5 million dollars, which, however, 25.3% less than a year ago).
For the Kazakhstan population, prices for gas transported through distribution networks increased during the year (January — August 2018 to the same period a year earlier) by 8.6%, for liquefied gas — by 5.7%.
For comparison, by the end of 2017, the gas transported through the networks went up by 7.6% compared to last year, liquefied gas – immediately by 14.4%.
